Notifications
What the Notifications screen is for, and what it does today.
There's a Notifications screen behind the bell icon in the top bar, and it's honest about where it stands: "Notification delivery is not available in this build."
What it will hold
Hold expirations, booking updates, and operational alerts, in one place. Those are the events that matter to an operator: a hold about to lapse, a storefront booking that just came in, an order that changed.
What to watch instead, today
Until delivery is live, the dashboard shows you the same facts if you know where to look:
- Holds about to expire: the Hold Expires column on the Orders list, or the Held status tab. See What holds do and when they expire.
- New storefront bookings: they appear in the Orders list like any other order.
- Customer enquiries: the Messages link on Store front, with a badge for unread ones.
- Payments: your Stripe Dashboard, which does send its own emails.
The practical habit is a look at the Held tab at the start and end of the day. That's the one thing nothing else will tell you about.
Customer-facing notifications
There's no automated email or SMS to customers either: no booking confirmation, no delivery reminder from OnTote. Stripe sends its own receipt for a card payment, and that's the only automatic message a customer gets today.
Communications and automations are on the roadmap. If a specific message would change how you work, tell us which one. That's what shapes the order things get built in.
